Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest child and only daughter of Richard McCormick, in 1956 - was born at Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. Her parents were a mother who was an housewife, and a father who worked as a teacher. She has three older brothers: Michael, Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was a talented performer and dancer at a young age. She would perform puppet shows to children from the neighborhood she lived in. In the age of six, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. It led her to receive a message by Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency asking whether she would consider pursuing careers within the entertainment business. McCormick was chosen for her first role of note in 1964. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial that starred her doll Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she was featured in a commercial featuring"Chatty Catherine," Mattel's newest doll "Chatty Catherine" doll, and she was chosen to play the show"Wind It up, and It breaks. 'The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from an audience of 1200 kids who auditioned to play the youngest of three daughters on the new TV comedy The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick admitted in her book that was published in 2008, entitled"Here's My Story: How I Survived Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice, the fact that Barry Williams was her screen brother. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Here's The Truth: Surviving the Marcia Brady and Discovering My True Voice, that in season five on the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams.
